Airspan and Cambium:
who owns each product line now.

Updated 2026-10-19 · Every row is dated and sourced.

Who bought Cambium Networks? Not one company. Airspan bought the fixed-wireless and defense lines on 2026-09-22. ePMP and the Enterprise Wi-Fi and switching business (Cambium hasn’t published a per-model list), with cnMaestro, were bought by Univastu on 2026-10-14 from Cambium Networks Ltd in UK administration (the UK form of insolvency: appointed administrators run the company and sell its assets). Cambium hasn’t said whether NSE edge routers were included. PTP 820/850 licensed microwave (long-distance point-to-point links on licensed frequencies) has no new owner yet. This page is the product-by-product map: who owns it, what its status is, and who to call about support. Your radios, switches and Wi-Fi keep passing traffic either way. What changes is who answers the support phone, who ships firmware, and whether the cloud dashboard stays up.

Five lines that answer who bought Cambium Networks.

  • Airspan bought the defense business and the PMP 450, PTP 670/450i/450V/700, cnWave, cnReach, LINKPlanner and cnHeat lines on 2026-09-22. That sale completed on signing.
  • cnMaestro (Cambium’s cloud dashboard; the radios keep working without it) stayed with Cambium, which licensed it to Airspan; it is part of the Univastu purchase.
  • ePMP, enterprise Wi-Fi, cnMatrix, NSE were not part of the Airspan sale. Univastu completed its purchase of ePMP and the Enterprise Wi-Fi and switching business, with cnMaestro, on 2026-10-14; the NSE gateways aren’t named. Cambium Networks runs as a standalone Univastu subsidiary and says it will resume production.
  • PTP 820/850 licensed microwave was not transferred; Airspan is in discussions with the OEM supplier.
  • Cambium now says cnMaestro Cloud “will continue to operate on a go-forward basis” (2026-10-15), following the earlier “through at least October 2026”. No end date, support terms or licensing terms are published yet, so keep your exports current.

Cambium product lines: owner, status and support contact.

“Owner” means who holds the product line as of 2026-10-19 according to the filings, the Airspan FAQ and the 2026-10-15 Univastu announcements. Your own warranty or support contract may say something narrower, so check it. Quickest use of the table: find your product in the first column, then read the support column. That is who to call.

Running a mix of outdoor radio links and office Wi-Fi or switches? Airspan’s FAQ says that for an account holding both Airspan and ePMP or Enterprise devices it “can only commit to supporting the products that have been acquired by Airspan.” Cambium’s migration guidance (thread 108849) recommends moving only Enterprise devices (Wi-Fi, cnMatrix switches, NSE) to an on-premises server, and putting Fixed Wireless devices (PMP, PTP and ePMP radios) on a separate one if you move them too. Our four cnMaestro options guide walks through the choices. If you want the sorting done for you, a network audit at $1,250 per site gives you the inventory by owner and support path, and you keep it whether or not you hire us for anything after.

The deals, sourced

The Airspan Cambium acquisition: completed 2026-09-22.

What was sold

Cambium Networks Ltd (in administration), the administrators and Airspan Communications Limited signed a Business Sale Agreement on 2026-09-22 for “the defense business and certain fixed broadband product lines.” Cambium Networks, Inc. transferred the related US assets at the same time. The sale completed on signing, with no closing conditions (8-K filed 2026-09-28).

The price

US$27.5M in cash, plus 50% of net collections on the transferred receivables, capped at US$7.5M, less agreed costs (8-K). More than 135 staff moved to Airspan, and integration is expected to take about six months (Light Reading, 2026-09-22).

cnMaestro is licensed, not sold

Cambium kept the cnMaestro software and granted Airspan a licence to it, alongside a transitional services agreement (8-K). Airspan’s product list names “cnMaestroX – FWB” under software and services.

Where the money goes

The 8-K says the proceeds go to repaying Cambium’s secured credit facility with Bank of America, which is larger than the sale price, and that no proceeds are expected for unsecured creditors or shareholders. Questions about claims go to the administrators at Cambium.restructuring@rsmuk.com; we don’t give creditor advice.

The Univastu purchase

Univastu: purchase completed 2026-10-14.

What the filing says

Univastu India Ltd told the National Stock Exchange of India on 2026-09-30 that its board approved acquiring assets of Cambium Networks Ltd (in administration) through a new subsidiary, Univastu UK Ltd (in formation). The stated cost is US$5.1M. Univastu entered an exclusivity agreement with the joint administrators and authorized a US$300,000 non-refundable deposit.

What completed

Cambium announced on 2026-10-15 that Univastu completed the acquisition on 2026-10-14. It covers the ePMP and Enterprise businesses and cnMaestro. Cambium Networks runs as a standalone Univastu subsidiary, says it will “immediately move to resume production”, and says cnMaestro Cloud “will continue to operate on a go-forward basis.” The Pioneer (2026-10-15) names the buyer as Univastu UK Limited and gives 2026-10-13.

What is still not published

As of 2026-10-19: a per-model list, the final price, and support, warranty, RMA, Cambium Care and licensing terms under the new owner. Univastu says it will develop a long-term plan for product development, customer support, supply and channel engagement (The Pioneer, 2026-10-15). Until those terms are published, treat support as uncertain and keep your own records.

Before the collapse

Cambium’s end-of-life policy, and dates already set.

Cambium’s published lifecycle policy promised at least 180 days’ notice of the last order date for fixed-wireless products and 90 days for enterprise products (90 days for both when a comparable replacement exists). Technical support was to run at least 4 years after end of sale for fixed wireless and 5 years for enterprise. Standard hardware warranty is 1 year from first end-user purchase, not transferable, and extendable to 5 years. In plain terms: end of sale is the last date you could order it; end of support is when firmware and security fixes stop.

Source: cambiumnetworks.com/support/product-lifecycle/ and /support/warranty/, read 2026-10-11. These are promises made by a company now in administration. Whether Cambium, the administrators or any buyer will honour end-of-support dates that run past 2026 is unknown. Plan as if they might not.

What to expect next

Four things to watch, in order.

End of October: support cutovers

Airspan says it moves its lines to a new support system by the end of October, with details by mid-October. The LINKPlanner profile service may shut down as early as 2026-10-31. Cambium now says cnMaestro Cloud “will continue to operate on a go-forward basis”, with no end date published.

Around 2026-11-09: administrators’ proposals

UK administrators must send their proposals within 8 weeks of appointment, which puts the statutory deadline around 2026-11-09 for an appointment on 2026-09-14. The court or creditors can extend it. That document is the first official word on what happens to the company left behind and its creditors. Filings appear on Companies House under company 07752773.

Support terms under Univastu

With the Univastu purchase complete, the next thing to watch for ePMP and the Enterprise lines is how support, existing warranties, RMAs and Cambium Care will be handled. Nothing is out on that as of 2026-10-19. The hub page answers whether Cambium Networks is going out of business in full.

A PTP 820/850 agreement

Airspan says it will announce the outcome of its talks with the OEM supplier when there is one. Until then, PTP 820/850 owners have best-effort support only. If one of these is your gear, schedule a conversation and we will map what best-effort means for your sites.

We update this page when one of these changes. The day-by-day record lives on the Cambium Networks administration timeline.

Where we fit

Not sure which row your network falls in?

Expect your network to sit in two or three rows at once. Start with a network audit, $1,250 per site: a topology diagram, a device inventory sorted by owner and support path with lifecycle dates, a configuration export and a port/VLAN map (VLANs are separate lanes that keep groups of traffic apart). It is yours to keep. From there, Continuity Monitoring for Cambium equipment runs from $497 per month (monitoring only, alerts to your team), and changes bill at $225/hr standard or $325/hr for migration work. If you also want findings and a 30-60-90 plan, that is a Network Risk Assessment from $3,500; larger networks and WISP networks are priced by size on the assessment pricing page. See a sample assessment report (PDF). Our work is network-side: controllers, configuration, VLANs, routing, DHCP, SNMP, firewalls and Wi-Fi. We don’t do RF path planning, tower work, licences, RMAs (returns) or warranty claims.

FAQ

Who owns Cambium products: short answers.

Who bought Cambium Networks?

Nobody bought the whole company. On 2026-09-22 Airspan bought the defense business and certain fixed broadband lines: PMP 450, PTP 670/450i/450V, PTP 700, cnWave 60 and 28 GHz, cnReach, LINKPlanner and cnHeat, plus a licence to the cnMaestro software, which Cambium kept. Univastu completed its purchase of ePMP, the Enterprise business and cnMaestro on 2026-10-14 (Cambium announcement, 2026-10-15), and Cambium Networks now runs as a standalone Univastu subsidiary.

Did Airspan buy ePMP?

No. Airspan’s FAQ says ePMP and the Enterprise products (Wi-Fi, cnMatrix) “were not acquired by Airspan” and tells owners to contact Cambium Networks.

Is Univastu buying Cambium?

Univastu India’s board approved a US$5.1M acquisition of assets of Cambium Networks Ltd (in administration) through Univastu UK Ltd (in formation), entered exclusivity with the administrators and authorized a US$300,000 non-refundable deposit (NSE filing, 2026-09-30). The purchase completed on 2026-10-14, according to Cambium: it covers ePMP, the Enterprise business and cnMaestro, and Cambium Networks now runs as a standalone Univastu subsidiary. Cambium hasn’t published a per-model list or a final price.

Is ePMP end of life?

Older models are. Cambium’s lifecycle page shows the ePMP 1000 5 GHz radios end-of-sale 2020-02-05 and the ePMP 2000 APs end-of-sale 2022-05-13 with support ending 2026-09-30. For current ePMP, the buyer is Univastu (completed 2026-10-14) and Cambium says production will resume; no product roadmap is published as of 2026-10-19. Installed radios keep passing traffic; what is uncertain is support, firmware and management.

What happens to cnMaestro under Airspan?

For the lines Airspan bought, its FAQ says they stay supported in cnMaestro cloud and on-premises, X and Essentials, and “there is no plan to discontinue cnMaestro.” Cambium kept the software and licensed it to Airspan; Univastu’s purchase of Cambium includes cnMaestro. For the lines Univastu bought, Cambium said on 2026-10-15 that cnMaestro Cloud “will continue to operate on a go-forward basis”; the announcement doesn’t specify model coverage, end date or service terms. If one account holds both, Airspan says it can only commit to its own products.

Who supports PTP 820 and PTP 850?

Nobody has taken them on yet. Airspan says the PTP 820/850 products are not on its transfer list, that it is in discussions with the OEM supplier, and that it gives best-effort support through the existing channels until that is resolved.

Is cnMatrix still supported?

cnMatrix was not acquired by Airspan. Cambium says Univastu bought its Enterprise business, which The Pioneer describes as Wi-Fi and switching, on 2026-10-14; support terms are not published yet. Before the collapse, Cambium published end-of-support 2030-12-31 for the EX1010, EX2010, EX2052 and TX2028RF-P. Whether any buyer honours those dates is unknown.
